It really sounds to me like your "friend" was being the dick here. I don't care how you justify something you should have the common sense not to get involved in, especially if as you have already claimed he carried them to that point. Look with your eyes, and perceive the outcome. If you can't safely say "wow this team can beat crota!" By the time you get to him... why are you surprised when it doesn't happen and they want to cheese?
