For comcast/xfinity players hawk/caterpillar

So I just wanted to share with all my fellow guardians who may still be experiencing destiny's error codes hawk(followed by disconnection from xbl) and caterpillar which sends you back to main menu/orbit. So a little bit about my setup: I had the technicolor Tc8305c modem with xfinity/comcast and first tried switching from wifi to hard wire. That worked for all of 30 minutes and then right back to the same issues. Then I tried port forwarding with a static IP address still hard wired and that worked for a few hours. Next I went back to using wifi and still no such luck. At this point in timeout am feeling totally stumped and almost to the point of getting a new Xbox 360 because that "has to be the problem" but I then got the idea to have my friend come over and see if the problems happened to him as well. Mind you he does not have the same ISP as me at his house. Lo and behold he almost immediately started getting the same errors and disconnects as me! Now at this point I have put several hours into troubleshooting and trying to find some kind of solution that would allow me to play destiny for more than 10 minutes or less and a time. I then spoke with comcast technical support personnel and they were surprisingly pleasant to speak with on the phone. I started to get excited because I thought because they sounded like they knew what they were talking about that the issues were gonna go away. So come to find out that the modem that I have is not their most up to date modem and I would have to spend more money to get it!!!!! I am now LIVID!!! I decided that Comcast was no longer the company I wanted to do business with so I switched over to frontier and so far I have received NO DISCONNECTION ERRORS!!!!! The only thing that I did not try before getting rid of Comcast was enabling bridge mode on the modem to then connect to and use my own router. I love this game and I love it even more now that I am no longer getting disconnected every 5 minutes!! I hope that even though this was kinda long that somebody is able to find this useful.
