OK, so I really don't have a problem with cheesing. Its up to the team to decide how they want to complete the challenge ahead of them. I don't think its right to bash someone for having a creative solution to a problem.
What I do have a problem with is the sharing of checkpoints in the raids. Multiple times over the last month I have gone to run people through VoG or Crota's End and whenever I join a party that is near the end of the raid, I always find it much more difficult to finish than when I'm with a group right from the start. This is because people are fighting Atheon/Crota without ever having completed the rest of the raid. They are going in expecting everything to happen for them, or to be cheese-able.
We should definitely be able to bring friends or strangers into OUR checkpoint, but it should not COPY to THEIR account and give them free access to late raid material.
Two nights ago my team had to stop and explain everything that was going on because the guy who joined us "completed the raid multiple times before" but had cheesed every single part. He did not inform us that he had only cheesed his way through everything. It quickly became frustrating when we realized 9/10 wipes were on his shoulders. After about 15 wipes on Crota I finally became frustrated enough to "ask" why this was seemingly so difficult and he informed the team that even though he had FULL RAID GEAR FROM CROTA'S END, he had never actually fought Crota. Every time he got to that part his team had done the glitch to make Crota stay on one knee.
The same thing happened last night on the bridge. Another dude had only cheesed his way past and kept claiming he had done it before and knew what was going on (Had helmet, gloves, & boots). Took all of ten minutes to realize he had never actually done the puzzle and he had only cheesed it before because he kept leaving his totem and turning on the center plate by accident when he wasn't supposed to.
Had another guy that joined us from an LFG site that had 3 raid pieces and when we got to Ir Yut he bailed because it doesn't give rewards and he would rather jump straight to Crota. He also informed us that he had NEVER killed Ir Yut. THAT PART ONLY TAKES FIVE FREAKING MINUTES WTF!!!
THIS SHIT IS GETTING RIDICULOUS
TL;DR
Cheesing is up to the individual, but this whole jumping into the late raid sections and then not really completing them is a -blam!-ING JOKE! IDC if you cheese, I do care if you have NEVER DONE ANY OF THIS BEFORE! JUST TELL US SO WE CAN EXPLAIN IT!
BUNGIE!!! REMOVE CHECKPOINT SHARING!!!

I will agree with you on this. After playing through the new raid enough to learn the fights and some good strategies for them at this point while it's still possible, cheesing the bridge is just a faster option, much like the templar. As for the Crota Cheese, I'm on PS4...so we don't get that glitch where he stays on one knee. I don't particularly care for people who only learned how to cheese and not do it the right way, because honestly I like to keep fresh on my tactics and at least 1 raid a week I like to run through without cheesing....hard to do with randoms who don't know what they are doing. Solid points made, good thread. ^^ Thumbs up
