It has more in common with BoarderLands than it does with games like WoW or LotRO. I've been playing MMOs since thay were called MUDs. Hell, they didn't even have graphics, they only had text. So don't bother with that "you don't know mmorpgs" nonsense. Contrary to what you seem to think, there is no truly universal framework for mmos. Sure, people have been making cookie cutter mmorpgs using "tried and true" mechanics, but the best games step away from the mold and offer truly unique experiences. Not everything needs to be gated behind BS. Grinding is only required when developers lack creative vision and can't come up with a unique progression system. So they block forward momentum for players unless they they take a specific course of of action. Bungie offered an alternative way to aquire faction gear. Than they stripped it away without notification or announcement. All so they could suck the fun out from some players' prefered path and attempt to funnel us into parts of the game we have no interest in. Instead of opening up the game and trying to appeal to as many different types of gamers as possible, they closed off even more parts of the game so that only raiders and PvP players can enjoy the fruits of their labor. All so they could try and get free marketing through players on social media. I just wish they would wake up and realize that they would make far more money by working to make the game fun for all types of players instead of just select player types like pvpers and raid monkeys..

Adding new elements would make the game more tolerable, but still none the the less you are asking for free ride to level or get what you want. In turn you might as well play a pc free mmorpgs if you truly want that. I under stand its game, but if they made everything easy you might as well play child game, but even then you have work for some thing.
