Comrades, I feel that this article sums up some of the severe problems and challenges we encounter in Destiny.
A player I met recently commented to me that "this game is all about GRINDING", and I'm afraid she is correct.
While it can be fun for a while, the fact that our progress in leveling is not innate to the character but to the gear we acquire - means that the hunt for acquiring and upgrading gear will never end.
That's a lot of hours spent.
Hmm.
Well I expect to play Destiny casually for a while until Mass Effect Next, but since I can expect to be able to simply purchase leveled armor at each expansion -there's less need to kill myself grinding away.
Maybe it's better not to play Destiny at all now and simply check back in that 10th year of the game.
Sincerely,
Major Tao

I agree with pretty much everything in the article. The thing is - I don't mind constantly trying to acquire and upgrade gear. That's what I enjoy in games like this. The issue is Bungie are making us do it in ways that aren't fun and rewarding. They're frustrating. Everything involves waiting for the chance of getting something we probably won't want. You get a raid drop with strength, a largely useless stat. You get a pistol drop with rubbish perks. Xur is 'upgrading' your exotic item this week. Yay! But with 33int less than your current lv.30 exotic(!!!!!). WTF! You want armour with stats and perks for certain weapon types, usually shit out of luck. Customisation options - there are none. Waiting without knowing what you're going to get - there is lots.
