This person has expressed exactly what I've been thinking. I agree completely with taking the rep gains out of turning in mats. Hell, I'm even OK with removing the crucible turn in. I'll grind some exotic bounties and build up marks to buy faction gear (though I also think the factions should accept both types of marks).
