The changes in Destiny brought It New Life

Despite the outcry of negativity for the dlc and new changes to destiny, I share a very different opinion. I'm always surprised by the complaints, but I always try yo hear people out. However, I feel like it would be a shame for no one to express their affinity for the game in its current state. The most popular opinions I'm here to refute are that dlc is too expensive (content based) and that it forced players to get rid of their "old" stuff. Now I can admit I used to be firmly in the dlc is too expensive group of people. I'm on Xbox, so without the 2nd strike, the content seemed underwhelming. I decided that waiting was my best option and used the forums as a gauge. What I read was frightening, but then I realized most of the players probably played all the missions overnight, hence their brevity. Then I asked friends who had purchased it, and the reviews were the complete opposite. I was quite happy with what I bought and still am a week later. Could the DLC have had more? Absolutely, and I hope the next is bigger. But I can say I enjoyed all the new missions and most of the new changes!! Comparing it to other games is hard for me. Other than Warframes, which I played only after the beta before the actual release because, I can't think of any game like it. I can mix it with other games, but nothing seems to be destiny counterpart. So basing it off that, Destiny's dlc content seems very comparable to the shooters available, that I've played, if not better. Now to the big one, old equipment being made obsolete. When I read the first post about the changes coming to destiny, I was neutral. I like to experience the change before completely expressing my opinion on it. The community doesn't believe in this it seems lol. Before the update was released the community was in an outrage about time wasted and what not. And even though I sort of agreed, I felt like it was too soon to say this. Then quickly after the dlc dropped I quickly disagreed. Nothing is obsolete yet and if it is why complain honestly. The dlc has been out a week. If you have a weapon at 300 its still super deadly. It just won't be the deadliest around, am I wrong? Not to mention all the people complaining resetting old exotics. This was easily the weakest complaint, and post dlc I laugh at these posts cause I just don't get it. IMO leveling exotics is easier than ever and since you only need one shard for the slot, it seems to have made it simpler. Now I don't have to decide what to use my mats on because they are legendary/exotic specific. Not to mention your exotic once turned into Xur, is stronger than your old version. What are we complaining about? You would have to put the same amount of time to level up it. There's a new raid for new raid gear. Why would I/do you want to keep the old stuff? Because of the time you spent working to get it? I can assume with great confidence, your maxed out weapon is more than viable in any situation right now. Maybe the hard raid will be different. But weren't you excited to get new stuff If you disagree than so be it. And please share why. But I'm playing Destiny as much as ever and have enjoyed maxing out my new weapons and my pre dlc exotics again. I feel like I have wasted no time whatsoever. Also looking for people who haven't done the new raid to get a group of noobs together to run thru the raid.
