CONTENT CHANGED UNFAIRLY!!
Hi, I have been playing this game for weeks to level up my characters enough to finally get to level 2 in the crucible. My hope was to buy all the crucible armor so I can level myself up to be able to complete the weekly strikes and beyond. I finally just about to reach level two and suddenly I need to have an extra commendation point to buy the chest armor and then another to buy the helmet, then another to buy a weapon I imagine. This means I have two reach level 3, then level 4, then level 5 just to get what I should have got at level 2 pre-update. This is very frustrating. Not only this, but the Weekly Strikes that I have been striving to participate in, have now been locked as I have not purchased the Dark Below addon. I can understand adding DLC and charging for that, but removing content already in use because I have not purchased DLC yet, is ridiculously unfair. If game content is too change, it should be applied to new characters starting out, not to someone that has been working towards a goal to find that that goal virtually no longer exists pretty much minutes before reaching it. All I ask is that I am given what I have earned.

Cheers for the tips everyone, I'm just a grumpy old bastard in need of a good whinge I guess! Just hard to find the time to play enough to make any real progress. If anyone is keen to help me out and do some raids, give me a shout!

Relax Beavis. Between the legendary boots and gloves (which you don't need a commendation point to buy) and an exotic chest piece or helmet (which you can buy from Xur) and the remaining legendary armour piece you can buy with the commendation point you're about to earn, you should be able to get as high as level 31. The weekly strikes are unavailable for this particular week while it happens to feature the strike included in the DLC. Bungie has already said that the original strikes are still in the rotation. So next week you'll get your weeklies back. No content has been taken away from you.

agree.....how do you get the armor when you can't reach the level without it. Just as I got the points to get armor I go to Quartermaster and now I need accomendation....how do you do it.

Yeah I agree they want you to pay for doc after we worked so hard on getting to 30. And then the legendary guns are higher ranked then exotics????? Wth

Yeah do the bounties everyday. Also do patrol missions you get 10xp for each mission done. Yes it'll take you a while and become frustrating and trust me I feel your pain. Also, keep doing the strikes, level 24 will get you 25xp each time And you can do unlimited of them. So you could get a level in each faction or vanguard in a few hours.

Well i understand why you are upset and im not going to discuss it with you. But im giving some tips that may help you get them sooner. 1) also do every vanguard bounty a day. This will increase vanguard rank and get it too rank 3. Yes will get you a vanguard commendstion but you can buy weapons from them. 2) fractions. They will give you crucibel commendations as far as i know, and easier to level up since ALL exp goes to them, including the bonus vanguard rep for completing nightfall and weekly strikes.
