For the sake of having a viable conversation, let's forget the Christian specifics and just say the Spear of Destiny was used in part to kill a messiah figure. So Joyeuse could be an AI that outwardly looks like a weapon used by our conquering hero, Charlemagne, that secretly hides an inward power that could bring down some savior figure in the game.
