In "Song of Roland," there is a part right at the end that involves the angel Gabriel visiting Charlemagne telling him that he has to go off to war again. Possible allusion to an AI giving instruction/guidance or pulling the strings? (If that previous paragraph made no sense, my apologies. It's 0411 down here.) (Also disappointed that there is no mention of fighting the huns.)
