A few things to note. The first being you do not need to buy anything from Xur to do the Nightfall. I suggest you look at little harder before moaning. The second would be that every bit of content included in the expansion was detailed before release- and you bought it knowing full well how much content it had. Thus to be complaining about it seems pretty childish. The last being that the MS and PSN Store have no refund policies, which were given to you before you finalized your purchase. tl;dr Learn to read because you're missing quite a lot, both in this post and in your situation!
