Totally agree. If this is a story, it is now lost in the pvp game it is mutating into. I bought because someone told me about it. First question asked...Is this a team fight type game or fps. Bought because both elements were there. Pve suits me. I thought it one sided that Bungie had venders only taking crucible marks so we found a work around. It worked. Was not hurting anyone and you had to really work to get the materials in exchange for the marks unlike getting same marks for a lot less time in cruc play. I miss the exchange. I hope I am wrong but maybe I am not. I hope Bungie isn't choosing to burn the bridges for us who enjoy pve over those who enjoy pvp. Story seems lost in the retoric. I am going to age myself but I loved finding new toys and abilities and the whys of it in System Shock II. Destiny was introduced such that I thought it would be similar but with a depth of environment impossible at SSII's time. Destiny was going that way with depth, story, background but it needed some changes, improvements but now it is getting lost and there is no emerging story just a useless basis to hang out their pvp shingle again. Bungie please don't leave us behind.

Huh i play pve predominately and find the new exchange to be sooo much more useful no more farming hours on end just to max a gear 64 mats :(. . Things you could buy from vendors WERE pretty bad (raid gears easy to obtain and better ( duh)) always find it weird if u only do pve to not stick with vanguard 0.o

Agree. It's amazing how if you prefer to avoid playing PvP you are then labeled a noob (mostly worse name calling than that) for asking to add back a feature that allowed us to bypass it. Now when we are forced to do PvP and don't try or care they whine about that too. Talk about whiners, most PvP players takes the trophy for that. Requesting to put back a feature of the game since day 1 isn't a whine, it's a complaint for removing a core feature to play the game some of us liked plus avoid PvP. It didn't hurt or cheat anyone. At least now the miserable PvP players have more things to whine about with the new gear and weapons that put their precious items to waste.

Sad isn't it? Just got a gold rating on a solo public event I should have gotten bronze on. And what gives with the participation awards? But you are b'd at for asking back what leveled the purchase field a bit. God help these people.

Oh no, I hope the "Play the game the correct way" group doesn't read your reply! You might get into as much trouble as I did for making this post. Hope you didn't get any ascendant shards or energy from that solo public event. If you did you didn't earn those. You think you can just play a public event solo? NO! Please delete anything you exploited Destiny into giving you something. The PvP lovers of Destiny organization will be submitting a petition to remove another exploit that allows you to play the game the wrong way. Plus you didn't earn it while using an exploit. Come to think of it, a public event is only for PvP users. Solo crap don't belong in Destiny. It isn't fair you can get stuff you haven't earned according to GoDD (Guidebook for Destiny Dweebs) these hater replies must live by. Just hope I got all the excuses, I mean sound reasons why you cheated and should be mocked. You, I and other solo players just need to keep reminding ourselves to not do anything solo. If we slip up just delete anything we get to level the playing field. We can't keep going around Destiny and enjoy it playing solo and think we should have access to 80% of the vendors, items and enjoyment.
