People don't choose to be put in at the end. It is the matchmaking, if they put forth effort in the boss fight they deserve shot at loot.
I had a 2 people pop into nexus as I was fighting boss. We killed it and one of them got a MIDA. I was disappointed that it wasn't me, but did hold any ill will toward the player. He didn't choose to be dropped into boss fight.

Edited by SumFish: 12/8/2014 1:39:06 PMYeah wasn't his fault, good of you to take it on the chin, he was just lucky to drop in towards the end. :P Maybe if a player is not active in the latest darkness zone within 1 minute there is a kick to orbit option voted by the other person(s) inside the darkness zone. A tiger strike normally takes between 10-15 minutes so if they haven't moved by the 5 minute mark there should be an option to boot I feel.
