I think there's always going to be people trying to be lazy about it. You can't boot them cause the system wouldn't make sense. The game identifies when someone is afk, but if they move around then they will be fine. Based on kills? That may also be unfair. What if someone has a Gjallarhorn for the boss while the other takes care of the adds? So since that's the strategy they choose then one guy suffers because he uses Gjallarhorn for a single enemy, the boss. You want a real solution? Get some friends to run with.

  • That's a fair point, kind of why I've lent towards the "keeping up and being active within darkness zones". Having friends works, but due to work and other commitments our hours don't always line up to play Destiny together let alone run strikes. The Matchmaking option should be able to cater for those deciding to solo or play with one other person without people being able to take advantage and hinder the other peoples experience. The issue needs to be addressed, as for a solution. A clear, simple fix is hard to imagine anytime soon. out of my ten strikes tonight with a friend we had 3 games with sitters, 3/10 isn't so bad but it's fair to call it common enough to be annoying.
