What about a solution to strike "runners"? Im sick of joining strikes and seeing one or both of the other players rushing ahead passed every enemy. I came to play the game, not rush through it like my life depended on it.

  • lol, the longer you play this game, the more you'll become on of them so in the meantime, just embrace it. You want to play the strike without other players, go to the strike on the planets and select those and up the difficulties or play with friends. You can't tell people how to play the game as long as they're playing it...you're not Bungie :p AFK during a strike however to leech is, however, not playing the game as designed and should be reported.

  • I semi agree with you. Normal strike and story missions I will always skip through. I will never skip through tiger strikes and it annoys me when people do. I don't skip through because the have a much higher chance of dropping engrams.

  • Why are people farming engrams? Once you're level 27-28...run raid...then you get the best legends and then all other legends are wasting space. If don't care to or can't for some reason, then you should probably just trade this game in for something else because that is all there really is to do end-game unless you want to crucible. I can't imagine someone that only play this game just to do tiger strikes over and over...for engrams lol.

  • I have three 30s and have 53 raid completions. I still farm engrams so that I can level up my cryptarch so I can have a chance of getting a legendary engram so I can get either a new exotic or a new legendary as I am trying to collect every legendary and exotic weapon in the game

  • You don't have enough vault space for all the legendaries + exotics lol. With new DLC coming out...good luck with that XD...vault space that is.

  • Yeah I know, I was hoping they were going to expand the vault with the dlc. I dont know what I'm going to do now. Between my vault space and the inventory between my three characters I have 2 spots open

  • Idk, I've put in a few hours and I just like shooting enemies. Runners dont really bother me, but if you cant stay alive, don't go into the darkness zone alone (as hard whipes affect quality and frequency of drops). I prefer to kill everyone (PRO TIP: if you're in tiger for engrams, you'll get a lot more by actually killing your enemies), but will stop shooting to catch up with runners because too many times have I seen some cocksure player run past everyone and then die alone in the darkness. Maybe if they took the time to kill enemies instead of running through them, they'd have learned the skills they need to stay alive. Just a thought.

  • If you're killing shit outside of darkness zones you might as well be on patrol...

  • Truuuuu. Which is why I dont sit in public areas. Their are strike areas that are not darkness zone though, like the first room for Cerberus Vae III. Which is the one I most frequently see people run straight through amd then die 10 seconds after getting into the darkness zone, hard whiping and messsing up everyone's drops. These people obviously need to stop rushing through and learn to kill the enemy without dying.

  • or rushing through without dying :P (knowing your limit)

  • I have done enough strikes that I do not want to spend 45 minutes trying to kill everything prior to the darkness zone. There's no need. Lag behind if you want, but you're going to miss the boss fight.

  • Staying in public areas are a big no-no. But there ar non-darkness strike areas (with lvl 24 enemies) as well as darkness zones you can just run through. These I will almost always fight through unless I'm forced to move ahead by someone running into the boss fight and dying.

  • I can play either mode, usually...quick strike or kill 'em all. My only issue with the speed runners is that sometimes it would be nice to have some help getting past the 3 Centurions and such that happen to now be blocking the door that the speeder zipped through. I'm a Titan that isn't as fast as other classes and sometimes can't quite keep up at the speed of other classes. So then, I'm forced to hang back and snipe out some beefy mobs or die a few times trying to get past them. If the whole group stays together and zips through things quickly (even a speed strike), then things go much more smoothly.

  • If someone is behind me I will turn around and shoot the ads to get there attention or kill them to make it easier for the person to get through.

  • The titan is the fastest moving class with the right set up. Even faster than a full agility hunter. The trick is using catapult effectively

  • I don't usually run with catapult, as I prefer Increased Control. That being said, I'm sure that I could enable catapult, put on full agility gear, and run like mad. However, this changes my play style. I don't think it's unreasonable for a group to run "as a group" to get to a common goal. If someone is behind me, I usually go back and check on them to make sure that they aren't stuck by mobs and such. Even with the strike grind, the overall 2-3 minutes that this might take really don't amount to much in the long run and (IMO), makes things easier.

  • I not arguing any of that. You said the titan was too slow when in actual fact its the fastest class with effective use. I'm not suggesting you change your play style, I was simply pointing out the titan is not slow

  • The way that I believe most people have their Titan's configured is such that they are slower than the other classes. I also typically play as a Defender, in a support role, so I'm trying to keep people alive by throwing up bubbles when needed and sniping heavier enemies from afar, which enables the speeder to move that much further ahead and I get left behind at times. I get that Titans can be configured to keep up with the pack, but I don't think it's typical.

  • It is typical in PvP. But probably not in pve.

  • It's quite possible that it's more common in PvP. I don't PvP much and it certainly isn't my forte! :)

  • Its only catapult that makes em faster, not any configuration of skills to increase the agility stat. Even with agility set to its lowest and armour to highest, with catapult I can traverse in a straight line faster than the other two classes.

  • Personally I love it when one of you slow pokes farms inside of the strike. Every lolBlue engram that drops goes straight to my mailbox. You farm and I finish the strike at a decent pace and we both profit.

  • You're one of the 7 people who runs strikes for the strikes and not the loot.

I say -blam!- em I got a legendary engram last night after 2 lvl 30's rushed past me and then they complained in the team chat that it was unfair that I was "so far behind" I didn't deserve it, screw them if they miss the chances of engrams etc. play how you wanna play, you'll get the strike done at the same time... afk's however are a real problem

I know what you mean mate but in all honesty if you're grinding strikes over and over again it comes down to efficiency, anything unnecessary will generally be skipped to speed it up that extra 3-5mins.
