Of all the people to reply to this thread, you're the only one to reach that particular conclusion. The only thing that doesn't make sense here is your desire to play dumb to make some rediculous point. Unfortunately, I still have no idea what that point actually is

  • Ok i thought about it and its funny- neither of us are wrong, english is just funny that way. I place the priority on what i'm getting, in this case materials, instead of what im losing (marks), therefore "the player acquires materials for submitting marks", and yeah i suppose most ppl would phrase it differently in their own minds. You win. Bungie doesn't care, regardless

  • Thus was an interesting conversation. I have to agree that the more logical way would be saying Material for Marks. I am getting material for marks. But you are also spending marks for materials. So that way works as well. But the first way I think is what most people would say. "You can get a pizza for ten bucks" Pizza for bucks. "You can pay the bucks for a pizza" Bucks for pizza. Really depends on how you initially think about it. Kudos to CoolGuy for realizing that it could go both ways. Negative points for the other guy for being arrogant and not thinking about it more. Haha.
