They removed it because otherwise you'd farm vanguard marks easily and then exchange them for mats and then exchange mats for crucible marks. Hence making two separate currencies redundant. It was removed because not everything in the game should be able to be earned by grinding tiger strikes and farming patrols. There are two sides to the game and two currencies to buy the respective gears. As there should be.

  • I get the fact having both options is a problem but either let us buy a new form of currency or open all 5 vendors to accept both marks. One would have thought keeping incentives for those who enjoy farming would be a good thing for all since it didn't hurt anyone. Preemptive strike to the coming vile replies... THERE IS NO PVP GEAR for those who keep posting there is. PvP gear would have PvP perks, not one of the 5 vendors sells that.

  • That's funny because I've seen gear with perks that sure seemed suited to pvp. Moreover, people are bitching about losing the ability to buy legendary gear that becomes quickly eclipsed by better raid legendaries with elemental damage and exotics.

  • List some. I have a list of vendor items and there are no PvP perks on any of the 5 vendors. You don't think that doing a boring thing like farming wouldn't also include wasting time recording what every single item for sale by all the vendors has do you? When it comes to boring stuff I normally do it. There are PvE only perks like non-guardian kills for example. This stat would do nothing in PvP and be a waste for PvP. There are no mods that only apply to PvP in the 5 vendors. Quick Hunter item stats: Crucible - no PvP only perks/mods New Monarchy - no PvP only perks/mods Dead Orbit - no PvP only perks/mods Future War Cult - no PvP only perks/mods What can be said is that all 5 vendors sell weapons and armor that include PvE perks/mods. What cannot be said is they sell PvP items.
