Now I got 2 Exotic Shards, how do I use them to upgrade Suros?
I bought one from Xur, then read that if I dismantled an exotic it would instead be fully upgraded (and even stronger then before) so I dismantled Lucky Raspberry, and it was destroyed and now I have 2 exotic shards but NO CLUE how to use them?
I have Suros, and Midas, that I want to upgrade fully, but how in the world does this work?? I just threw away Lucky Rasperry for no reason at all:(
Please help me on this one guys...

I would suggest Bungie put a information marker on the destinations screen detailing all the upcoming chnages. And in anser to the OP do not upgrade any exotics this week. Just save the exotic shards. You will be upgrading exotics by going to Xur and swapping your 300 damage weapon for a 320 version. They do not need to be maxed out. He will accept unleveled exotics. This will only take effect next week.

Don't do it! Wait til the dlc and you hopefully you can trade them and get the upgraded ones!

the exotic shards are the new way to upgrade exotic weapons, where as they don't need ascendant materials anymore. however, when the DLC drops next week, you will need to trade to Xur your weapon, 1 exotic shard, and 7000 glimmer to be able to upgrade to version 2.0 of the weapon when the DLC hits. it will reset all of the upgrades, your weapon will start at 302 damage, and then you will have to re-level your weapon back to max stats. DeeJ also stated that once this is done, leveling a new exotic will take much less time and effort.

3 RepliesAs of next friday, Xur will have an undisclosed amount of exotics available for trade. If suros is one, you can trade yours in for his shiny new one and when you level that one up, the final slot will require one of your shards. So hang on to them, and don't use any until next friday...

You COULD use a shard now to get an exotic to level 300, but it's kind of pointless if you want to max it out next week.

If those weapons are ranked up fully already befor they introduced the exotic shards then you don't have to do anything but when the dlc comes out xur will upgrade those weapons and the final circle on the exotic armor or gun you wil need an exotic shard to fully upgrade it
