Recommendations = anti-causal player

Note: I understand not everyone is a casual player, but those who aren't need to understand not everyone who would like to play destiny can sink more than an hour or so a day into it, so be respectful in your responses. I've run the numbers. Spreadsheet and all. And your new recommendation system will be the bane of your casual players. Causal players play for maybe 1-2 hours a day if they're lucky, maybe less. In that time the most efficient way to achieve gains is: Nightfall Weekly heroic Daily heroic 4 Vanguard Bounties (*I use Vanguard bounties as the paradigm because the easier ones are a bit quicker to acquire than pvp) If you run each thing quickly you can do all of that in 1-2 hours. This yields opportunity for loot, xp, coins, motes, marks, materials, and rep. The problem is that it only gives around 322 rep per day (give or take) including rep from patrol missions for a patrol bounty, which combined with weeklies still only yields roughly 2300 rep per week. Not even 1 recommendation. Even dropping 2 hrs/day for 4 days/week into this game, (not counting 2 weekend days where the causal player would need their play time to attempt the raid, and one day where their schedule probably precludes them from playing--- even though for the causal player it's likely more days than that), they won't make enough in reputation gains to even get 1 piece of gear a week. Oh and by the way, these calculations only make sense if your using the same character every day. If you have more than one character causal players likely won't be getting bounties and dailies for each of them every day. So once again recommendations are going to frustrate your casual player base. Radiant light, probably offsets this a little but does anyone know how much rep increase you get from bounties handed in while under the radiant light buff? It can't be that much, to make up for the differences.... Honestly, I can't wait till something better than destiny comes out. I don't even know what. I'm pretty sad about it. I really wanted destiny to be my go to game, but it's just too annoying to play some days. I've even been talking my friends into trusting that Bungie is going to fix the game. Now I just feel disappointed. I hope people quit on the 9th and Bungie gets a wake up call for some of their more awful ideas... Seriously who keeps making the game a GRIND? Is there some hardcore MMO fan in their ranks, or are they just inexperienced with this... If it's about money it's a terrible discouragement for me to spend any more on them....

 • Radiant light is 20% buff. It adds up slowly but surely. Here are some tips that I have found useful: Do the nightfall before you do the weekly heroic so you get the boost for the weekly heroic, nightfall gives you 500 rep, weekly with radiant light will give you 499 I think. Always go to the tower before you start any activity, and pick up all the bounties of your preference, in your case: vanguard. Most of the time they will correspond with the daily or weekly activity in some way. Wait till all your bounties are completed before you turn them in, this will save a lot of time going back and forth from the tower.

 • Commendations need to b fixed I like the idea but if I'm working on dead orbit I shouldn't have to take off my cape to play crucible and lv up crucible to get something from dead orbit
