A Reasonable Solution to the Exotic mess.

I love this game. It's got a barely there story and there are a lot of rough edges underneath all the pretty, but I still love it, because its fun to play. That being said I spent the past two weeks grinding up all my exotics so that I could be well prepared for The Dark Below. It's rather aggravating knowing that I put in all that effort only for it to essentially amount to nothing in the grand scheme of things. I know for certain I won't bother to re-level anything beyond the bare necessities to make them functional. That's sad, and honestly, it sets a bad precedent for future expansions, especially seeing as House of Wolves will be coming out in a few months. So I'd like to put forward Datto's suggestion from the above video for serious consideration. Give "Upgraded" exotics a boost to XP gain in some capacity, either has a gun buff or a player buff. The higher you are on the upgrade path, the higher your boost is. That way player who have invested all their time and effort into these weapons they love feel that they at least got something from their invested time. Otherwise it really is simply wasted effort. Bungie, you've put in a lot of effort to fix this game to suit the expectations of its players, and I applaud you for that. But for many of us, Exotics are our personal prizes, precious in a way no other gear is. While I appreciate that you've given us the choice and ability to keep our exotics relevant, you're implementation is a bit lacking. The burn here is that all of your dedicated players who poured time and effort into upgrading these weapons have essentially been put in a situation where we feel that you(Bungie), in letting us keep the weapons we love relevant, are also invalidating all the effort we put into them because we love them. Will I quit Destiny and burn the disc? No. In the same vein I find myself no longer looking forward to your other expansions much. It's demoralizing to think all the time and effort I'm going to put into all the cool things you're giving us now is going to be irrelevant in three or four months. If anyone in Bungie actually reads this, I hope you can take this into consideration. Thanks
