Resetting Exotics is Essentially a Prestige Mode.

Hopefully the title didn't make anyone furious. Think about it, you just finished upgrading your Red Death 300 damage, ready for battle. Then suddenly you have the option to do it all again. "-blam!- it", you say, "I don't want to restart my progress!" But then you realize that by doing it all over, you unlock a higher damage variant! It's better than your current version, but not mandatory. You have to make a choice... Yeah I know, I'm not a big fan of the new upgrade plan either, but honestly, it's nearly the equivalent of Prestiging in CoD, except you don't lose everything upon resetting, just the gear's upgrades, and it becomes better gear. Plus, it's only exotics! How many many Exotics do you actually circulate? 2 or 3 guns? 1 or 2 pieces of gear? That's 5 exotic shards total, that's nothing! It gives you a chance to use extra material you have gathering dust, it gives you a chance to use Strange Coins on stuff you actually need. If this was CoD, more than half of you people complaining would jump on the opportunity to Prestige and lose everything. This guarantees you a better piece gear, not a just logo that says you reset 10 times. Give it a chance , I know I will. Let the hating commence. But if you have nice comments, that'll work too! :)

 • I love the outlook but here's my thing... I have 11-12 exotics guns and 9-10 exotic armors. I use all the armors consistently and have most of them fully leveled. As for the guns at least half are at full levels. The main problem here is all my work goes down the drain. I've worked my butt off this last month in preparation for the new dlc thinking I would be ahead and ready for it. And now, in order to give my weapons and armor their ultimate potential, I have to start from scratch. And not only that, but I will have to spend a ton of coins on it... Way more than before. Even if I do this, next dlc I'll have to do it again when they raise the cap again. I get the whole progression thing, I'm fine with that. And I could just re-level a few guns I use and some of my armor. But that leaves me without all my options. And I like options. So now I have to work for my options again. I dunno. I just don't want to feel like I'm constantly wasting my time. I get that it's an opportunity to better my character, but it feels like one step forward and two steps back. I just feel there has to be a better way.
