I think that raid gear should be any gear to keep custom looks alive and kicking. I think that, say if i do a raid i beat the damn thing, if you beat it you get 4 raid fragments. One raid fragment can be used to make armor raid gear and for shits and giggles a raid weapon. But say you don't ever beat atheo but you got that far.. then in the next Destiny week you get 1 raid shard, not fragment, a shard and it takes 2 shards to equal one frag. Meaning the sooner you can beat it awesome you get your shards but if not it will take you some time to acquire your shit, i personally have not acquired the raid gear but i also cant find a team that can communicate effectively so we lose coordination and strategy.
