I don't know what the big deal is ... Every game anyone plays has weapons that MAX out then a DLC or RNG comes along a new better weapon presents itself. You still have to start over this is just a way to keep your favorite exotic. For example you may LOVE Thorn but don't like any of the new hand cannons that are more powerful. You can just upgrade your Thorn as if you just found a new one in the wild that's better. Lol it's all your choice. Use a new gun or restart a better more powerful exotic that you already love.

Problem is TDB doesn't have anywhere near enough items to replace the original end game Destiny collection, and Vanilla Destiny on its own doesn't have enough end game items for actual variety. Also keep in mind MMOs cycle their loot roughly every 8-24 months. Recycling end game loot is simply not going to be successful on a 3 month rotation.

Yeah , I think it's great there doing this. I have some weapons I would love to re level and bring up to dark below status. It's better then the weapons just being trash. So what if you have to level them again just be glad you get to keep them
