and also the reason why it has to be one or the other is entirely obvious. if you can trade marks for mats, and mats for marks AND rep, then you could trade them back and forth infinitely to get infinite rep and therefor infinite mail packages with infinite purples, blues, crytarch XP, glimmer, ascendant mats, etc. possible to avoid another way, yes. but why? it would make no sense to do both, it made no sense to trade mats for marks in the first place. bravo to bungie for the best and most sensible fix to the game so far. now if we could just copy/paste spaceflight mechanics from a ps2 ratchet and clank game if nothing else then we would be doing great.
