Why is that a problem marks for mats was a lazy persons way of doing things and its not like marks a hard to get anyway

For people that don't enjoy PvP, it was the only other way for people to get faction gear without running crucible. If you don't need crucible to get faction rep & unlock the gear, you shouldn't have to run it to purchase it. Besides, it was the only other thing to spend your materials on once your gear was upgraded.
