Carmageddon 2 when i was 12 and we bought our first computer and saw the magic of 3d, gore and Iron Maiden And Outcast in 2001, probably the first open world 3d person shooter that ever existed (it's from 1999) And still the best game i have played till today. Ow yeah, Monkey Island 3 fits in there, think it was around 2000.
