I call them PVP items because they required marks which were primarily obtained via PVP but could also, previously be obtained through exchanging PVE materials for PVP marks. the problem is the faction vendors. You can obtain reputation with them in PVE but can only buy items from them with PVP tokens. That is really what's wrong here. I fully accept that there should be a crucible vendor and the items on it should only be obtained within the Crucible, that's fine. But the faction vendors should not grant reputation via PVE if they can't offer rewards to PVE players outside of rank up packages. My Dead Orbit reputation on my Titan is 17 I think? I've never worn my Dead Orbit mark in the Crucible. Fact is though all the 'PVP' items are shit and if that is all that people who exclusively PVP have access to then I feel sorry for them. They should raid and get some good guns for free :)
