No, hes complaining that some people play Destiny for the PVE but still wanted gear from Factions and now they cant get those Faction Gears unless they play PVP. Before you could PVE and collect materials at the same time allowing you to get Marks and Reputation for Factions and Crucible. The system worked, you could rank up your chosen Faction doing Patrols, strikes and Bounties and earn Marks for them by farming a bit. Now you actually have to go into the Crucible to get Marks, and the problem with that is that you get 3 marks for winning a 10 minute long match and 2 for losing and a few points of Reputation but i could farm 50 Spirit bloom in about 10-15 minutes and get 5 marks 50 Rep and 200 Glimmer PLUS whatever i got from Enemy drops and Chests AND i could do Bounties and Patrols at the same time. So yeah thats the complaint, they took out a far more efficient and player friendly method of gearing up and replaced it with a straight up bad way to buy upgrade materials. TLDR: Crucible takes 10 minutes to get 2-3 marks and 25-ish rep, Random rewards not based on skill and some Bounty EXP/Rep from bounties but you have to beat your head against the wall when that same tryhard guy headshots you or shotguns your face for the umptienth time. Old Farming method gets 5 marks for 15 minutes of farming plus Repuation and Bounties and EXP and loot all the while keeping PVE players out of the crucible. No one complained that they werent there feeding you kills. Its the PVE Vs the PVP and Bungie sided with the PVPers with this patch (Love my Thorn though guys, good buff!)

Pvp should take priorities over pve. Bungie is doing it right.
