I hate PVP too, and there's a simple solution to your problem. Don't buy crucible gear. If you love PvE as much as I do, earn your vanguard marks to buy vanguard gear and then save your materials for upgrading that gear instead of trading 50 materials (3 upgrades worth) for under 5 crucible marks. Not worth it, and crucible gear is ugly anyways.

That isn't the problem. The problem is the Factions only take Crucible marks even though you can rank them up in PvE. Vanguard vendors should only accept Vanguard marks, Crucible vendors should only accept Crucible marks but the Faction vendors should take both. That's how it should be.
