Why not let the people who actually want to play crucible play crucible and let those that aren't interested in it to continue to enjoy what they were doing. The old exchange wasn't hurting anyone and even made some people happy.
Why fix something that wasnt broken to begin with?

Im not against the old method mate, as i told you it might be to encourage pve players to join the pvp side of the game.

Just hit 31 last friday and my twitch shooter reflexes aren't going to get any better and I was actually really happy when I saw that I can exchange Vanguard marks for materials, because I thought I can also exchange the materials to crucible marks. When I found out that all the faction gear is now 100% out of the window, unless I start playing PvP alot - I got frustrated and quickly after turned my console off. Though sure, I'm not about to rage and start hating on said developer or anything childish like that, but... That probably was not a reaction they were after.
