What the heck was the logic behind removing material exchange for Crucible rep and marks? I never saw any posts or complaints about resource exchange. If anything, it kept PvP haters like me away from ruining PvP games even more than they are already.
AMEN brother (or sister)!!! Honestly, the easiest way to fix this gigantic cluster f'k would be to simply allow the faction tables to sell their stuff for either Crucible or Vanguard marks. Keep the mats for sale and just accept both forms of Marks Currency for vendor purchases... problem solved! Honestly it's scary to think they weren't smart enough to come up with that on their own... smh :/

What's scary is that you didn't realize how unbelievably fast someone could buy out every vendor if both marks were accepted.

You can only use 1 at a time so what difference does it make? It's work to level them all too... your reasoning is not sound but thanks for trying.

Way to not think like a game designer. Longevity and progression is an issue for them. It may not be for you, but it is for them.

The software (in this case game) is always evolving and moving forward. You really expect people to still be interested in these faction guns 6 months from now when all kinds of new guns are out? On top of that... do you know how long it would take to purchase all those guns AND level them, even if you could use both Marks, with a 100 mark weekly limit and 200 Mark cap? A long time... longer than most would be willing to put effort in to doing with new stuff coming out frequently. Please just stop posting... you don't know what you are talking about.

  • It costs 1380 marks to buy out a faction vendor. Spending 200 marks per week would take 7 weeks to buy out one vendor. That means it would take more than 5 months to buy out the three factions if they accepted both forms of marks currency. . . and this doesn't include the time it takes to build the reputation rank you need to buy their gear =P

Then one would have everything before, or by the time House of Wolves releases, and after getting all that has to offer the incentive to continue playing declines. Population decreases and all of a sudden a game that was intended to last at the very least a couple years has died in half of one.

  • How so? We get capped at 100 for each, the average weapon cost 157 marks with 12 weapons or so per vendor, thats 4 months or there about for 1 vendor so how would people buy everything so soon.
