Faction gear sucks anyway, you'll replace it all with raid and exotic gear.Just get Vanguard stuf instead

You don't get the exact same effects from every set of gear. Sometimes you have to shop around and because of the factions only taking crucible marks, which is ridiculous considering that only one of the factions cares about the crucible, you have to play crucible in order to get certain gear. Right now, I'm grinding the crucible because I want a crucible helmet but I can completely understand why people would be pissed if they want a dead orbit piece of armor and have to go through the crucible to get it.

Thats true.But still faction gear becomes obsolete anyway.It doesnt last that long.I gave up trying to optimize my stats since its impossible to change them on raid gear and exotics.People are better off just getting Vanguard armor if it really bothers them that much.

Which is exactly why I haven't gone after any raid gear. It's less important for me to be level 30 then it is for me to have an optimized armor set.
