If there were more Vanguard vendors with a plethora of options for PVE-focused gear, would that solve the problem for you?

This is one of the three reasons that I can think of that make any sense regarding the removal of the mats > marks exchange. When the DLC drops there will more than likely be a whole host of new weapons/armor and changes to how we level them. Hopefully there will be far more things to spend Vanguard on. With more choice on what to use my vanguard marks on I wouldn't be after any faction/pvp weapons/armor for anything other than looks. Atm if you don't like the stats on your vanguard armor and hate pvp then its kinda sucky. This is specially true for Titans = no Int/Disc armor on the Vanguard vendor. Or don't big clunking behemoths with dunny rolls on their hips need to be smart? Of course they do! Also only having the one or two weapons for a certain slot is really limiting. Sure I can grind rep but with the RNG being so bad its not a viable option. Want a Void fusion for VoG? Good luck if your not into PVP, use a blue. Want a solar sniper rifle? Same kinda deal. This has been said since day dot, if the vendors had a larger table of items and/or they randomly cycled, or items had stats that would cycle like from an engram it would help.

  • More options, choices, and variety always makes me happy. So yea, I guess it would. As long as it came with a mark cap increase to compensate for the extra options.

  • I think more Vanguard vendors is the real solution. The problem doesn't seem to be that Crucible marks are no longer available to PvE players, but that there are a lack of options, which makes the Crucible vendors desirable. I don't see how a mark cap increase is relevant. There are many options for Crucible marks now, but no cap increase for those marks. I would love to see PvE-specific perks that are a little off the wall, since balance is a little less of a priority. Armor that zaps back melee attackers, overshields, crazy weapon perks... All isolated to non-Guardian targets.
