Simple fix. Make all vendors use both marks.
[Edit:1]
No, how about: Delete Vanguard Marks and Crucible Marks. Come up with a new one (name doesn't matter to me) that you can earn from doing either activity. Caps at 200, All Vendors accept new marks.
Problem solved? Everyone's happy?

Move this to #Feedback, apparently that's where Deej frequents most

I always said that the factions should have their own marks that are earned wearing their faction cloak/band/skirt. It already changed the rep you earn to that faction, might as well make it so it changes the marks to that faction as well. Leave crucible as crucible marks, leave vanguard as vanguard marks and do this with the others.
-
But that still forces you to do PvP for Crucible weapons and PvE for Vanguard. An "Umbrella Mark" would allow players to earn Marks doing what they like best, or dabbling in other fields when they feel like it. Destiny is about having options, isn't that why they nerfed the Mythoclast to begin with?
-
But at least for the majority, the faction marks can be earned doing both. I do feel the crucible weapons and armour need to have marks from them. My biggest gripe was that i needed pvp marks for the factions and now i can't get them because i HAVE to do pvp since i can't trade in mats anymore. If they were supposed to be pvp only, then why are most of the patrols in PvE coming from the faction representatives? By making it so you earn that factions marks using the class items, you can get them from doing anything in the game and no longer catering to pvp only.
-
Why would you want to make the game MORE restrictive? My suggestion allows everyone to do whatever they like, whereas you want people to limit themselves to a single faction. Freedom, options, choice. Umbrella Mark, 2015

I never said anything about restricting. If you want (insert item) from (insert faction) wear their class item. No matter what you do, you will get rep and marks for that faction.

Now we're talking! This it's how it should've been in the first place. Bump
