Pocket Infinity Damage Nerfed?

It seems that with Daily Events not giving packages and the Truth still only having 2 rounds, the Pocket Infinity now hardly charges at all and does MUCH less damage which was not documented, DeeJ is this an intentional nerf?

  • I'm sure this isn't being addressed by Bungie because there are not as many people that use the Pocket Infinity, but this is a bug/issue that needs to be looked at and resolved. I primarily use the Pocket Infinity in Crucible and exactly how Dragonx mentioned, the first shot that is fired after a re spawn is normal, every shot after that has an extremely short charge time but with very little power. This is then reset again after you die and your first shot is back to normal. This issue with the rifle has occurred right after the 12/1 update and happens whether you have 3 or 5 shots in the clip. • This sounds more like a bug than a nerf Here's why. Every time you respawn in pvp and pve pocket infinity has 3 in the clip and 20 in the inventory in the first clip after you respond the 1st bullet in the clip dose 100% which is 49 of damage, 2rd bullet dose 80%,which is 37 damage and 3rd bullet dose 50% which is 25 damage now after the first clip when you respawn you will always do 50% of the damage.

    • If pocket Infinity was nerfed on purpose in the patch list will look like this. Pocket Infinity Speed Reload upgrade replaced by Extended Clip which allows the option to increase magazine size (5 bursts) After the first shots before the first mag is empty Pocket Infinity will have a charge rate of (0.3 seconds) we decreased the base damage by 50% to compensate with the increase charge rate and the Externded Clip perk.

PI damage falloff is, or was, as follows 1st shot: 100% damage 2nd shot: 80% damage The rest: 60% damage I did notice the bug on Nightfall. My first burst absolutely wrecked and every subsequent shot did not do nearly as much damage

    • PI behaves as expected on first burst. After a reload, PI charges up very quickly but does drastically less damage. This continues to be the case until you die. My guess is that after the initial burst, the game treats all the subsequent bursts as being part of the first burst. That is, with decreased charge time and decreased damage. Looks more like a bug to me rather than a nerf.
