You could play with one foot on the controller while doing -blam!-all and still get 66% of the rewards from crucible. The only good point you made was that marks of both types should work for faction gear. Even then, there are like 3 weapons even worth purchasing with crucible marks. No armor is worth buying ever unless youre a) getting to raid-worthy level b) dismantling for mats c) collecting.
