A BIG F-U to PvE Players, Thanks Bungie
EDIT #1 BEGIN - Summary for those who missed the OP long a$$ complaint:
Removal of material exchange for vendor reputation and marks generated this post.
Using a Day 1 feature NOT exploit to access and buy legendary gear and avoid PvP for personal reasons.

First we get a ton of mods to fix the PvP whining resulting in PvE nerfs, then 2 PvP events to 1 PvE but still more PvE nerfs.
Now take away more access to vendor weapons and armor to those of us who HATE PvP with a passion. I was fine farming for material and purchase Crucible items even though it was daunting. Never complained since I could avoid PvP.
What the heck was the logic behind removing material exchange for Crucible rep and marks?
I never saw any posts or complaints about resource exchange. If anything, it kept PvP haters like me away from ruining PvP games even more than they are already.
If this game was advertised as a PvP centric game with a scarce PvE element that would take a back seat to everything PvP I would have passed on it like I did with Titanfall and other PvP games.
Either bring back the material exchange for Crucible marks and rep, open all vendors to accept both currencies or I'll just play PvP to piss as many off as possible to obtain a K/D of 0.00.
If your going to ruin PvE, I'll do my part to ruin PvP as best that I can. Maybe I'll even be stoked to play Iron Banner 3.0 and shoot for the #1 spot in the worst PvP of all time.
Just as you have people that hate PvE, from reading the posts for the past couple of months, you have more that hate PvP.
Please tell us now that Destiny is 80% PvP and 20% PvE so we know where you stand.
All I know is after waiting and hoping Bungie would bring some love to PvE, all we got was a third and fourth kick in the balls.
After the expansion is released and there is still no resolution to this horrible PvE treatment, I'll waste my extra time playing even more like a complete noob in PvP just to piss as many people off as possible.
I'll highly recommend that others who feel the same do too.
If this was just "another" unintended side effect from a patch I may feel bad for ranting. If not, enjoy the last $ you'll see from me or anyone else who feels the same way.
If there is some great addition in the expansion to nullify this rant I truly apologize in advance.
BTW, it might help to post a list of the 100 worst PvP Guardians in your app. I would like to try and make the top 10 of that list.

play crucible in a fireteam with your friends. Go run control or something and it's not that bad. I hate crucible outside of Iron Banner but I need to do it for Thorn now so I'll suffer through it

The vex mythoclast "buff" was a nerf IMO. The base damage slightly buffed (which isn't what we wanted) and the magazine was decreased (opposite of what we wanted) what the hell bungie?

You sucking in crucible will be like Christmas for your opponents. But that feeling of contentment you have won't last long while being continuously killed. It will leave you with two choices: Put up a fight, or leave with your tail between your legs. Hopefully you can start to have a little fun in the crucible.

Way to think rationally. Your plan is to go annoy and impair people who actually want to play pvp as a protest to game developers who arent even paying attention to what you're doing. How does this work out in your plan? Bungie notices one player is constantly showing a kd of 0 so they launch a full investigation on you. In this search they go through all your posts and find this one realizing that it is some kind of protest to their new changes. In order to stop the madness cause by this player and the 2 or 3 he influenced into doing the same they realize they have no choice but to give in and follow his demands. If they did somehow notice this behavior they would probably just implement an already demanded system to penalize those who do nothing.

That and weapons and armor from the raid are so much better than armor unless you pvp in which you said you don't. So shut up and don't ruin the marks for materials that's so much better than mindlessly running around in circles for hours getting chests.

3 Repliesthe weapons from the crucible quartermaster aren't as good as the weapons from the vanguard quartermaster. why do you want the crucible weapons so badly? you can just spend your vanguard marks to get materials upgrade your weapons so you can spend more time in raids or strikes and less time farming. this patch actually gave you more time to do fun stuff instead of farming

Half the bounties are pve. The only thing pvp is the crucible and a sprinkle of pvp events 3) theres no reason to do pvp unless u like it. Crucible marks buy low level legendary armor/weapons. Which no one needs. Either ur doing the raid so have access to better stuff. Or ur not doing raid then u dont need awesome toys. U just do patrol so u dont need higher than lvl20. 4) its clear ur an old gamer who doesnt understand new fancy games with all their bells and whistles. Ur trying to play destiny like its the orignal zelda farming whatever the -blam!- old games had u farm. So there u are doing patrols farming faction rep, blue engrams and mats. It takes half hour to do nightfalls/weekly. It takes 1 hour to do the raid on hard with randoms(probably longer now with templar fix). U can find a group to play with on destinytlfg.com. Once u start playing the meat of the game than those side activities u were treating as the point of the game stop being valuable. Bungie just removed one of the worst parts of the game which was running in circles opening chests for hours(i needed 2000 mats over the weekend to upgrade all the exotics i had spent like 15hrs doing that) U can play the game however u want. If mindless/endless patrol relaxes you after work then fine. But dont complain how the big boys play the meat of the game when ur just on the sidelines doing meneal activities. If u lov patrols so much keep on with ur bad self no ones stopping you. [b] tldr - your like a 10 year old collecting coke cans for pennies so u can buy a candy bar. But ur upset taxes just went up because the city needed more money for road repairs. Yes it effects ur candybar purchase. But there are more important things happening around ur 10 year old brain. Like keeping the roads functioning so grownups can go to work and make real $. Important decisions arent made to accomodate children or gamers who grind the shit out of 3% of the game[/b] ps..... u cant sell mats for faction rep because u can buy mats with marks. If u could do both then u could buy mats with marks, sell them for faction rep. So each tiger strike would give faction rep + marks(which turn into faction rep) leading to accelerated faction ranking = more rewards (meaning legendary engrams)

Great post I remember during development that " PvP is somewhere to go for a break from story mode , it's not a big part of destiny at all " hmmm yeah ok , only it is though because only vanguard accept vanguard marks and all others are crucible marks , cheers bungie :) I wouldn't mind if crucible was like iron banner ( which was actually pretty good ! ) but it's not . It's a rancid pile of cancerous horse shit .

I have a friend who saw themselves as really bad at PVP and just didnt play it so I have been dragging them into the crucible every now and again and its gotten to the point where they go positive half of their games.

I'm sure you don't have to try very hard to be bad. By the way, I constantly have shitty teammates in PvP. There are thousands of shitters that search PvP just to get less than 2 kills. You won't be the first or the last. If anything maybe you should just quit the game and go buy a single player game.

I dont think rep should be exchanged for mats IMO, it defeats the meaning of the word Reputation. I dont have reputation for stealing cars when ive never stolen a car as such... But marks i agree with.

On the brighter side of u running pvp, u could get good. Start with a sniper rifle, get ballzy and move to a shotgun/handcannon. I use to dread pvp. It takes time. Now it seems like I'm the flag barer most of the time

1 Replybump. I like both pvp and pve but when you ruin some guns like red death, suros, and juju (nothing special added to this one), where they dont do that well in PvE anymore, and then make it more pvp, then the game is unbalance in that part.
