Instead of guardians running around in circles now to get enough mats to raise their items they can now do dailies and bounties to get those mats. You have nerve damage and thus exclude yourself from a majority of the aspects of the game, strikes, raids, pvp, etc. So you patrol. Okay I get that. But every faction with the exception of crucible is attainable via the pve element. Every rank you gain earns you a care package with weapons or armor. So you don't need those crucible marks. Sure you want a specific crucible weapon, well that suck. I want the vex mythoclast and know that hard mode is the only way to get it. So guess what, I do hard mode. The crucible gear should for crucible players, just as raid gear is for raiders. Instead of ranting and raving here, you should be playing and figureing out how your play style fits in the new update. Instead of being petty and vindictive you should thinking of how better to benefit from the update.

I don't enjoy PvP because I truly am no good at it. Not afraid to admit it either. I don't play it because I do not want to drag a team down because I am not good. I feel that I would make the game less fun for my team mates. I am also 52 so my reaction time is no where near fast enough to go against much younger gamers. I avoid PvP so I don't upset other gamers by being bad at it.

So let me get this right....you are so bad at this game that the only thing you can do is Patrols over and over again with multiple characters. Now you are upset that you can no longer get Crucible marks from doing Patrols over and over again. Your solution is to go into PVP and to go out of your way to be the worst. I suggest you just do the best you can do, and you will still end up the worst, you won't need to go out of your way to be at the bottom. Are you ever late for your short bus when running Patrols over and over again?

I agree with everything THX 007 said. Without access to Crucible Marks/Reputation in PVE and a reliable source of Ascendant Materials, this game really isn’t worth playing, at least for me. And to T3CH54M4, since you advocate purity for the Crucible, maybe you can tell me why the faction vendors, Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, and FWC, only accept Crucible Marks. They have nothing to do with the Crucible and should accept Vanguard Marks as well. The currency scheme in Destiny has always been a mess and now it’s worse. I’ve spent hundreds of hours pursuing a strategy which Bungie has just derailed by changing the rules in the middle of the game. Bad form Bungie.
