I accidentally traded all of my vanguard marks for spirit bloom because I thought I was trading in what I had collected. The patch notes were vague and I clicked too fast to realize my Vanguard marks were going down and not up. I just figured they changed the trade-in rate to 20 instead of 50. Now, I have 200 spirit bloom which I have never seen any item need for upgrades and 8 Vanguard marks when I was saving them to buy some armor. Bungie should have communicated this better and/or changed "Materials Exchange" to "Purchase Materials". Also, if they want people to play the Crucible more, maybe they should add more/better maps. BTW, I played crucible and it was ok, but I found myself simply doing PVE stuff more often so kind of settled into that groove.

  • Same shit happened to me... I was trying to get Crucible Marks and accidentally traded them all in for stupid Spinmetal. You can't use that for anything!!!

  • This happened to one of my friends as well. It should have been better specified or the actual interface changed. Why can't there be a separate materials exchange instead of so many useless vendors and characters (the whole north tower, for example)? I've had items that need spirit bloom (legendary) and iron (exotic) though most have needed either helium or spin metal. It's not useless, though you might never need that much. The exchange feature didn't need to be touched at all. All they needed was to ADD the purchase materials feature. But adding seems to be a problem for them. They don't seem to like us playing their "shared" shooter as lone wolves, so they remove things we enjoy playing for. It's as if they removed the selling capacity of properties in Monopoly because players weren't using the renting features and instead were just buying and selling.

  • You must not play much, 1 in 4 legendary/exotics use those.

  • Possibly. my titan has 1 exotic armor and legendary everything else at level 27. I don't do the raid. I took a break from playing this for a few weeks and got back into it last week so I guess that qualifies as "not much". so what?
