It's not a problem with the game, it's the problem with players. Greedy and lazy players to be specific. The type that hate pvp BUT they want pvp gears. Work for your shit instead of whining. You choose not to play pvp because you either hate it, dislike it or plainly suck at it, that's fine but don't come crying why you can't get marks for it alternatively.

Your point? Faction plays a big part in Crucible in Destiny lore. How about you go read it up. I have not realized this until today that so many players have actually gotten faction gear through trading mats for marks. This is so amazing. They expected these stuff to be obtained without playing pvp.

Destiny lore? You do realize all of that was nerfed and is no longer canon for the game we actually got, right? What [i]is[/i] in the game, aside from their affiliation with Crucible matches, is that the Factions also sponsor Patrol missions, i.e., PvE. So, Nope, they were no longer [b]just[/b] for the Crucible.

I didnt say its just the crucible. I say they play a big part of it in Crucible and by that, you earned marks from participating in it. In patrol they reward you with reps. This is so funny, guardians earning their gears by picking spinmetal on earth running in circles for hours.

See. This is the same image all of you seem to imagine. That the folks who are missing this feature [b][i]only[/i][/b] farm for materials the whole time. And while a few [i]might[/i] (all power to them), most PvE'ers farm for materials while they're doing other activities. It was an added perk for us. For example, kill off a squad of dregs and their Reaver Vandal, and then turn around and see... -- oooo, Spin Metal, or Helium Filaments! Coool! Grab the mats and run off to the next conflict. Harmless. But now? Unless its to upgrade a weapon, what's the freaking point? I don't need the material but from one location to upgrade my gear, so that means there's less to enjoy about the other planets. In the end, why the F*** would Bungie [i]diminish[/i] the game? It was one feature not hurting anybody. Why subtract? There were a hundred different way to have resolved this.

Are you talking about farming mats or PVP? Because you've just proven mine, and a lot of other peoples point. YOU don't like running around in circles for hundreds??? of mats (ive no idea where you get this number, each upgrade is like 16, that's nothing, do it every time a damage upgrade clocks over) MYSELF and OTHERS don't like running around in circles for hundreds (it actually is this much) of crucible marks and rep. YOU have been given a way to avoid what YOU don't like while MYSELF and OTHERS have had a way taken away. What makes YOUR cause anymore worthy? There is no reason, aside from a small amount of rep+glimmer gain, why both parties shouldn't be happy. Even the rep and glimmer gains are too low to be any real worry. If they are worried about it then add a rep cap each week, raise the level needed to get the next lot of gear that comes with the DLC. Remove the rep/glimmer from the exchange. So many ways to manage it. Come on, we players cant be the only ones to see this, if theres something we have missed then Bungie really needs to let people know.

I'm actually glad for you because i have a ton of legendary and exotic weapons/armors across three characters so yes i need hundreds of them. Because taking part in Crucible and earning reps is more logical than running in circles for hours and then turn in for marks. 'how did you get that faction weapon?' 'oh i went to old Russia, i spent 4 hours everyday gathering herbs in exchange for this weapon. Become Legend by picking herbs.' Sorry, Destiny's tagline is become legend, not a herbalist or miner or whatever. You think i enjoy the crucible? Check my stats, i rarely play it now, i only play it to get the gears i want so yes, work for your -blam!-ing shit. You pve whiners just want to be greedy and i applaud Bungie's move. Play the damn activity if you want the damn stuff.

Making all faction gear PVP-exclusive is a huge shift. I don't care who gets level 29 gear. They'll just need to replace most of it with Raid/IB/DLC gear eventually, anyway. Source: I play PVP for my marks, but sympathize with the farmers. Bungie is quickly contracting their audience with this game.

No one gets the actual Crucible vendors gear....this is for faction gear that has been labeled to buy with Crucible tokens
