Dammit! Really?!? I've been casually gaming destiny the last month, and building my Dead Orbit rank up so i can buy the skull and crossed axes insignia, and was going to trade in mats for the marks to buy it. I don't pvp because i don't like it and am not good at it either. Thanks for invalidating the time time i spent on building it up. @Bungie or Deej, why did you do it? Couldn't we have kept the Mats for marks and gotten the marks for mats as well? Or would that be considered cheesing as well? Was the Vendor OP? In other words, What possible reason was there for this change? Only true reason i can see is that people might question the imbalanced exchange rate, but thats it. Also anyone notice that exotics are now cheaper and easier to upgrade than legendaries? the only slow point in upgrades would be getting the exotic shard.... which can be bought from xur with SC's as opposed to legendaries requiring substantial numbers of ascendant mats. I really hope the DLC is good, cause these half thought out changes are making me flinch. Don't get me wrong the patches are 'ok', but the changes just don't seem to be properly implemented or thought through as well as they should and appear half-assed.

Did you know that you can upgrade your faction rep by equipping your class item and completing standard Vanguard Bounties?? As long as you have your Dead Orbit class Item on while you turn them in you'll gain Reputation Edit: NVM I noticed you were talking about the marks to purchase. This is an easy fix though, they simply need to allow Vanguard Marks to be used for purchasing Faction items, aswell

  • Exactly ! Almost seems like someone at Bungie is making decisions that knows nothing of the game. Very poor process with inefficient decision making.
