How is Send It the redundant upgrade on Hawkmoon?

I understand the concept of removing upgrades that have similar boosts, but why you would remove Send It instead of Hammer Forged. Send It added more range to the gun than the other one, even if it was only slightly.

same here. i prefer "send it" over "hammer forged". But ye, noobs are crying so bungie nerfed it.
