So THORN and VEX are now the ultimate exotics
So after the update came out I immediately took off to clash to test out both weapons THORN: faster reload, nine bullets, faster handling, 2 shots plus Mark Of D to kill. VEX MYTHO: Returned to old glory, It singes people like bee-outch, lower mag size not a big deal!. So lets discuss, are these two the best now or is there still something better?.

1 ReplyExotics all feel in line with me. Using mytho, I can say I've been doing better (k/d of at least >1.4) as an average player. But I'm still downed by many who use Suros, thorn, and even now hard light. Haven't lvld my bad juju yet, but with a skilled player, I would expect to see double the supers in matches I think. Of all the items the one I feel is still not on par with everyone else is Monte Carlo. Can't really compare it to any other exotics. How much is a critical shot for a hard light?

1 Replyum are you talking PVP only, because that's what it sounds like and in PVP (and even regular PVE) the vex range is terrible even with the range perk, especially factoring in it's accuracy and stability

4 RepliesVex is still weaker than VoC so long as you can pretty reliably hit crit spots. It's much better now but I prefer to have range and huge critical damage for tougher encounters. I am finally leveling Thorn since it now seems useable.

6 RepliesMan if u could carry more ammo for vex eg armor perk u would be a god and destroy everything in your path , got mine fully upgraded and it just rips throu anything but u always bound to run out of ammo .

4 RepliesI went up against the vex right after the patch n i swear it was so hard to kill them! My hunter was obliterated when trying to use my thorn! N they just destroyed our team! N that was two people with the vex! I'm not saying it should be nerfed again but from what I saw pvp needs addressing! Again!

1 ReplyBad JuJu on a Voidlock seems pretty nasty in pvp. In pve it is really, really good. Impact is pretty sucky, but the extra bursts seem to make it a different gun it's crazy. Rapid fire gives it good flexibility, and it has decent range and recoil so I'd say the clean winner is JuJu. Thorn is top tier now for sure but it still requires finesse to use properly. RNG hates me right now so I don't have a vex. Yet :P

The Vex I have it all maxed out but eh I don't know I think its me. I'm just not good with it but some practice I'll improve.

Bad Juju is on that list now imo. I solo'd a warstat and only hit reload once and only because I kept missing an invisible vandal. That's a massive change.

Vex wrecks house in PVP again. Which is sad, because they will nerf it again. I killed a dude with an LMG today when I was down to a 1 shot and he was at full. Just saying, it's pretty good.

But, earning the Thorn is more difficult than paying Xur 23 coins for TLW so it makes sense to be slightly better. As far as being equal to Hawkmoon...if you got Hawkmoon, it's pretty much winning the RNG lottery. You may not have 'earned' it but you got lucky enough to get it. Thus, equal in performance.

1 ReplyVex requires all of your shots to be on point when challenging other top tier weapons: Suros. TLW. Vanquisher. Shadow Price. Etc. I think they found a great balance for the Vex. Especially since its supposed to have a big role in the upcoming raid.

6 RepliesMytho was honestly fine with the nerf in my opinion. Its recoil and lack of effective range is probably the reason why people think it sucks. Well for a hunter like me I'm feeling like Mytho was made for us hunters ;) and that now that Mytho is buffed, damn I really don't know how this is going to turn out. However I can guarantee you that with adaptation, me and other fellow fully upgraded Mytho-users will have our time to rise.
