Don't feel bad! The majority of that insane budget actually went towards intensive psych studies on just how little content a game could offer and still get people hooked by targeting their gambling and completion impulses. That's why the community is comprised mostly of addicts, unhappy completionists, and very simple minds.

  • I know exactly how you feel. For a long time, I was excited for the release of Sunset Overdrive. I bought it release day, and I haven't played it more than 30 min, cause I can't stop playing destiny. It's sad. Bungie is both brilliant and despicable for finding a way to keep all of us addicted to a game that feels severely lacking in content.

very well put probably not as wildly intentional and awsome as it sounds like some kind of conspiracy, its very similar to WoW formulae of dailes weeklys and farming, then on multiple characters so theres always something to do, but by making the tasks our brains are addictive to and making it tediusly boring and mindnumbing, i did dailies for 6 months straight on WoW 3 characters it was always fun, i cannot stand doing dailies 3 times a day on destiny, doesnt matter what game its the fun factor your judging on, but i still do it... for the shards wether i need or not lol. i think at the end of the day i want to be addicted to a videogame i love videogames, but this ones just evil lol!
