Have you not seen the whos in the military thread? They are all bored and playing destiny too. Not everyone gets deployed at the same time.

yeah get your life in danger , REAL danger is a perfect replacement for entertainment lacks.. anyone shots to the knee? with an arrow ?anyone?

If this ain't the best piece of military advertisement, then I don't know what is. "Getting bored of playing all your shooter video games at home? Then join the army!"
-
You missed the point ENTIRELY! People want to experience some of what soldiers experience, without actually having to experience it. Therefore, that is an invalid statement to say to join the military, when a large majority of gamers choose to game, and not to join the military.

I can certainly say that after Bosnia, Iraq, Bahrain, and Gaza that Destiny and CoD are exactly like being in a combat zone. Exactly. If your K/D is above 1.6, you will be an excellent combat USMC salty dog.

I sense sarcasm. Again, people want to feel the experience. It doesn't have to feel like your in a real battle environment, but they still want to feel some of the adrenaline that comes with it. Call of Duty's story is good at getting your adrenaline going. Destiny only really provides this feeling in the raid.

Ha! Right on. Here is the experience then: Wake up at 05:00 and pack everything you own on your back. Go to your front yard, dump all your stuff, and now sit on your stuff and smoke cigarettes for the next 12 hours. Then pick up all your stuff, have a few friends cram into your car with their stuff, drive down the block, dump all your stuff, and now sit on your stuff and smoke cigarettes for the next 12 hours in this new location. Welcome to the military experience. I don't think CoD wants to capture that.
