Exotic Armor Breakdown

Most peeps most likely know this stuff already, for those who do not here is a list of all currently available Exotic Armor, broken down by class; what it does and some ideas on how it's best used. Work in progress. Will work on readability. Currently it is a wall of boring text; I will try to fix that. Warlock: Helm - Apotheosis Veil. Melee refreshes grenade cooldown / Health regeneration with Orb of Light / Super regenerates health This is a general purpose exotic that works with all builds and all specs. Kind of lackluster imho. Helm - Skull of Dire Akamenhara. Improved grenade throw distance / More super energy from grenade kills / Reduced damage while using Nova Bomb + Improved drains Voidwalker helm that focuses on grenades. Grenades and super can trigger the drains with a talent so this is a good choice for a dicipline heavy build. Helm - Light Beyond Nemesis Improved melee speed / get health from Orbs of Light / Revive others and self is faster + generate more Orbs of Light with your super. A general purpose helm that works best in team play. You do not benefit directly from this helm but your fireteam will be pouring out their supers much more often. The improved revive is nice as well. Run an Intelligence heavy build and use your super often to get the best results. Chest - Voidfang Vestments More special and Handcannon ammo / Axion bolt gives 4 seekers + spawn with grenade energy This is mainly a Voidwalker Grenadier Pvp piece. Spawning with full nades is amazing and the extra seeker for Axion bolt is nice. This also works with a Sunsinger as 2 grenades with each respawn is nice in PvP. Chest- Heart of the Praxic Fire More fusion rifle and heavy weapon ammo / faster refresh of melee and grenades while using Sunsinger super Unless you want to carry an extra rocket this is exclusively a Sunsinger piece. Become the ultimate grenade chucker while using your super. Hands - Sunbreakers Faster special weapon reload / melee reduces grenade cooldown / Solar grenades last 10 seconds Definitely a Sunsinger exotic. Faster special weapon reload is not easy to find, also 10 second long grenades suprise a lot of people in pvp. PvE this thing works fine too. Hunter: Helm - Achlyophage Symbote More grenade throw distance / grenade kills give more super energy / golden gun has 4 shots This is a Gunslinger exotic. 3 GG shots turns to 4 and you get some bonuses to your grenades. Helm - Knucklehead Radar Grenade damage reduces melee cooldown / non-guardian kills give more super energy / Radar stays active while ADS with Primary weapons This is a general purpose helm that shines in PvP despite giving more super energy for NON-guardian kills. Melee refresh from grenade damage, not kills is quite rare, and the big one of course is the last. Having your radar stay up while aiming down sights (ADS) with any primary weapon is huge in PvP. Offhand I can only think of the MIDA having a similar perk. All in all a fantastic exotic. Helm - Mask of the Third Man Orbs of Light give health / faster melee attack speed / Arc Blade attacks use less super energy This is a Blademaster exotic. Health from Orbs is meh, melee speed is OK and a longer super spam super is always good. Chest - Crest of the Alpha Lupi More handcannon and Special weapon ammo / Revive self and others faster + spawn more Orbs with super kills This is a general purpose exotic that works best for team play.Your fireteam benefits from this with more supers. Imho this is a meh exotic. Chest - Lucky Raspberry More fusion rifle and heavy weapon ammo / Arcbolt grenade chains further + spawn with grenade energy Designed as a Bladedancer exotic it works equally well, or equally poorly for Gunslinger. Spawning with grenades is nice, so is the extra rocket; I am just not convinced that this is the best use for your exotic slot. Hands - Young Aharmankara ' Spine Faster Special weapon reloads / Grenade kills give super energy / Trip mine grenades last longer. It looks great, but as I do not let use trip mines I can't say how good this is. Titan: Helm - An Insurmountable Skullfort Orbs give health / Causing damage with melee reduces grenade cooldown / Storm fist kills regen health + Spawn with melee energy Striker focused exotic. You get lots of melees and those melees refresh your grenade. They also heal you so this works well with a shotgun. Helm - Helm of Inmost Light Faster melee speed / Orbs give melee energy / Automatically give super Death from Above and Headstrong perks. This is another Striker exotic. It adds 2 perks to your Super automatically, so you can invest that point in something else. The helm has Strength on it although, so you need a lot of Intelligence from your other armor pieces to make best use of this exotic. Helm - Helm of Saint-14 Faster melee speed / More super energy from non-guardian kills / blinds enemies that enter your Ward of Dawn This is a PvP Defender exotic. Although most players that enter your ward of dawn are friendlies, some peeps will walk into your panic bubble to play "lets out melee the shielded meleer". The extra super energy comes in handy though. Chest - Crest of Alpha Lupi (Titan) More Auto Rifle and Special weapon ammo / spawn more Orbs with super kills + revive self and others faster General purpose chest piece with focus on support. Your kills with your super will make your teammates get their super faster. Revive faster is nice too. Chest - The Armamentarium More Special and Heavy weapon ammo / Carry an extra grenade Very general purpose and it still rocks. More of the best kind of ammo and an extra grenade for giggles. Hands - No Backup Plans Faster reload of Special weapons / Faster melee attack speed / Force Barrier lasts longer Defender gauntlets. Faster reload with all special weapons and your force barrier lasts longer. All good stuff here.
