May I ask? How are you social in the game.
The chat sucks. No LFG tool in the game. You have at most 16 players on your screen, if you are lucky. You can wave, sit, dance, point, and do tricks on your ride.
Matchmaking is a social tool.
This game needs social tools.
Going outside the game to socialize? I do that in the real world.
I want to meet players in the game when I am playing. Not in this mess of a forum.

I started by sending random FRs to people who did well with me on strikes. I was nervous at first when they would invite me to do the nightfall or the raid, but I decided to suck it up, turn on my headset, and make their acquaintance. To my surprise, I met a lot of chilled out and helpful people who have told me numerous times that they really enjoy playing with me. That just one way. Stop making excuses.

Lmao, I have my mic on all the time, I have a small clan. Sending out blind invites, that's the way? This is no next gen game. It has no social tools, no LFG tools. That's not an excuse, ITS A FACT. This game needs to be excused. Bungie dropped the big purple ball. I'm not buying any Bungie or Activision product again. I passed this info on to my friends. You are cool with it? Fine. Many others are not.

It does seem a bit strange that we have a hub where we all go, as in the tower, and there's no interactive notice board for matchmaking/seting up fireteams etc. Seems so simple to implement and would help out some of the players on this forum, myself included.

Destinylfg.com bro. Post once get many invites in seconds. It's not that hard. I agree that this functionality should be put in game but crying about "how difficult it is" is simple bs whining for the sake of whining. Just freaking adapt. Quit expecting the game makers to cater to your every whim for Pete's sake.
-
All I'm asking for is a simple function found in every game
-
Asking is one thing. Making ridiculous statements like "I can't do raid without matchmaking" is pure bs and serves no purpose but to whine in a public forum.
-
If Destiny wants to have more ppl buy the DLC then its not really ridiculous. I think most of the more casual gaming community ( sorry if we are HC gamer nightmare) would agree that we are not going to go to third party sites..... Like it our not, Our money is what drives the gaming industry....To say our wishes are invalid or don't matter is pure BS.... imo obviously So no, I really cant nor will I go onto a site and say "hey im level 28 hunter pls pick me oh exhaulted raiders" Its silly to hear ppl defend bungie for not making matchmaking an option
-
I AM WITH YOU ... it is kind of stupid to have to go to a site to ask some-one to join you ... just put it in match-making that makes the most logical sense .
-
Nobody is defending Bungie. Not me anyway. I agreed that the functionality should be in the game. You say you're casual and casuals don't go outside of the game, yet here you are on their forum moaning about no sense. How much time are you wasting here to make gripe post after gripe post yet you can't take 5 minutes to go find a group on another site? Your points are valid that the game should have these features, but it should end with that. Posting how you can't do something, as if it's physically impossible, when it's not true is what I am referring to as ridiculous. I'm betting even as a casual player you have take the time to go to youtube or other sites to gain strategies to get past various content in this game as well as many others, and I bet you see nothing wrong with that. Bottom line you're whining just for the publicity of it. Grow up. Adapt. Use the tools that ARE available to you instead of threatening to leave the game and hopes to trash the game's success by your leaving. The fact of the matter is, you sir, are NOT a casual. The casuals that you speak of as the majority of a games success are those who care not to come making ridiculous claims in a forum. They just play their games taking the good and bad with it. So feel free to leave. You won't be missed. Thinking otherwise is so vain and naive that it's funny to even consider. The real casuals will continue to buy this game, it's dlc, and anything else game makers spend money on marketing, whereby keeping the money train going, no matter how bad it is. I guarantee that, you yourself, will be buying the dlc with some half cocked excuse that "maybe they fixed some things..." or some other bs reason to make yourself feel good about the decision. Just like you or plenty of others will continue to buy every iteration of COD regardless of how bad the forums say they are and with people threatening to leave them too. Can we just be honest? For real this conversation is tired. Get over it bruh.
