What keeps me playing, and what keeps me from playing.

I am extremely sad to say that the game that I had looked forward to taking up my free time has become such a disappointment. I wanted to run-and-gun my way through an open world with my many friends, but Bungivision had other plans. I feel horribly bad about suggesting that one of my friends buy this game. I play this game because the gameplay is fun. I enjoy shooting aliens in the face, but the repetition has gotten to me. Simply playing with friends is not enough now. Not being able to play casually with more than two friends is a great deal of the problem. PvP is NEVER casual, and is the second thing pushing me away from this game. The split mark cap, faction gear, exotic weapon bounties, and 15 minute max countdown to an RNG loot draw are all there to strongly encourage PvP participation. I don't care about other people's loot or gear, but I want an equal opportunity to obtain that gear fairly, without mandatory PvP participation. Finally, the rumors regarding the "original" story of Destiny need to be addressed. Having so little story, day 1 DLC available to purchase, and the lead writer walking off mid-production gives people a VERY skeptical view of the companies' intentions involved. In closing, many other games have or will come out in the days approaching the holidays. I will blindly recommended them to anyone who will listen and share my concerns regarding Destiny with them. TL;CR More friends, less pushing of PvP, and address the rumors regarding the "original" story.
