I haven't noticed any IR on my plasma tv after long sessions, that's weird.

It is strange how some sets are just more prone than others, I would think the breaks from actually gameplay like in orbit, tower, menu and so on would be enough of a break to prevent this. Sadly, it is not. An opacity slider would prevent future damage.
