Hey DeeJ, about that D-Pad...

We get it. Everyone likes to wave, point at people, sit down and dance (along with T-bagging and other celebratory performances) but lets take it a step further. Other than busting a move, the D-pad is pretty darn useless. Sure you can issue military style hand gestures on the sparrow...but no one does this. Can we come up with a sort of compromise? Instead of getting rid of the Dance Dance revolution options, how about we Add USEFUL D-pad options to the ghost menu (you know, the thing that lets us go to orbit and leave fire teams and all that jazz). You've implemented at least two buttons into the ghost menu interface, lets see if you can convince the dev team to create a D-pad option within ghost menu that can allow us to hot key in some battle items (like the countless ether seeds we all have, or the AMMO SYNTHESIZERS). Or we could go a step further and hot slot some weapons there as well. I am almost 100% certain that you yourself had to switch to a different special, primary, or heavy weapon to better combat the continuously evolving scenario around you in the wild, imagine how easy that could be if you could just open up ghost and tap left on the D-pad real quick to swap out that rocket launcher for an LMG? Quite simply put, you can utilize the D-pad for Primary weapon swap, Special Weapon Swap, Heavy weapon Swap, and have the last button for an Item (yay countless wax idols!). Let the dev team know that we're still hoping for these kind of things to be added. Sincerely, - The Squeaky Wheel EDIT: If you agree, please bump and like to help spread the idea around. If you've seen other ideas like this, please place links to the threads below :D

  • They should make it like Lost Planet where you hold start (or back for Destiny since starts a menu) and then press a direction to do an animation. And without pressing start the dpad switches weapons faster than going into a menu.
